Left one of these in my tennis shorts when I washed them.
Won't work now.
Are they really $330 each to replace?
Given that I still have one working keyfob does anyone make "learning" remotes which can copy the code and act as a replacement?
Any other suggestions apart from spend $330 on a new one or do without?

I paid 240.00 for mine in Seattle at the dealer. The bad news = no one else can replace them, they are not programmable, adn they are pricey. the good news = the new key fob looks like the ones from a new Mercedes, and was ready in 2 days. I have a 2001 S500 so that was nice. I lost one fob and the spare broke and could not be fixed. I did tons of research to no success. the dealer seems the only gamer in town.
