Instrument cluster light trouble -- '96 S320
In my '96 S320 I am having an annoying problem; about 3 days ago all my interior lights were gone, I mean the instrument cluster lights (gages, clock, fuel level, etc. cannot be seen in the dark), plus the light where the temperature is shown in the climate control area, and by the gear-shift area too. Last night I checked the exterior lights and I noticed that the right rear light is out. I went ahead and checked the bulb, and it actually seemed to be not burned out, you know I can see the little spiral thing still in tact between the two little antenna-like things within the bulb.
When I asked the service bay about the interior lights at the local MB dealership, they said that maybe the circuit got a surge and all the bulbs went in the same time... I checked the fuse box, and there is not fuse for the interior lights -- or am I wrong???
Anyway, this is really puzzling ne now, what on earth can be the problem and how can I get it repaired so i could once again see what I am doing at night? (by the way, the celing lights work, that's not a problem)
I would truly appreciate any comments or help... Thanks everyone.
