helo i want to buy the s coupe model the older one and i want to know everithing about that car good things bad thing whats the realistic price how can i lower the price what are the tricks umm if some problems are there and the owner doesent want to tell where can i look fot the problems.......

You better have a platinum Mastercard to buy a 600. They are very complex and once the electronics are over 10 years old, you really don't want to own one, uless the idea of the average repair bill being $3,000 does not bother you. The 500 is far more reliable and there are actually people who can work on it. I found most mechanics, even those at the dealer, were completely unfamiliar with the 600 I owned.

 

the 500 and 600 types are only diferent in thein HP right the inside is the same....but is anyone here who ows or who owned a S coupe 94-97......here where i live the car costs from 6000€-8000€.... whats the right price where do i have to look for if anything is wrong

 

The difference in the car is far more than the horsepower. The 500 is a V-8 which share a lot of parts with many different models. The 600 is a V-12 which is a very different engine. It is built as a single engine, but the computer system treats it as 2 six cylinder engines running side by side, otherwise known as a dual CAN system. Parts are stupidly expensive and the average mechanic is more likely to make the problem worse than better. I owned one in Southern California, which is the largest single market for AMG products and had to deal with service people and mechanics who had never worked on one. The results were a disaster. with the dealer flying in parts from Germany because they were not stocked in the US. I can only tell you what happened to me, a person that is very happy driving an S55. I would never, not ever, buy another 12 cylinder Benz. They are smooth, quiet and powerful. But the repair costs could bankrupt most smnall countries.

 

u seem to be full of money the s500 here where i live is 6000€ the coupe model maby a bit more expencive.. its such a cool car and one of the cars i can sit in normaly hehe cuz im tall

um what do i need to look for on the car so i can lover the price better.

The_Noob do you live in Europe? Kerno I take it you live in the USA? I too live in the USA and over hear like Kerno said the 500 and 600 are different. looks the same and thats about it.

Ok then you are looking at a 500/600 coupe. I dont know of any for sale in Europe and it is hard to find for sale in the USA. I would try searching the classified of a UK Mercedes magazine called Mercedes Enthusiast. http://www.mercedesenthusiast.co.uk/
I buy it once in a while but not too often because it is $9.00 over here.

 

whats the problem with tohes who have tle rear part loverd are the springs broken or what
