so i took it off, fixed it, had bad regulator, now I cant put it back in place, because theres thisthing that suppost to go in with the alternator, but its too tight, I cant put them in together, any tips? its where you put the lower bolt in... I have 2002 s500

 

bang the brass dowl in ( brass piece that the bolt goes threw ) with something, onthe the lower alternator bracket. this should alow more space for the alternator to slide in, do the same with the top bracket, be sure not to be to rough as to break off the alternator bracket.
