I am about to buy a 2002 S500...people talking alot about the airmatic troubles and the cost...it would be nice if someone show me the basic thing so I can check if the airmatic or air suspension still good, the car is 95000 mile...thanks

 

the first way to check is to push the airmatic button to raise the car. you should see a display on the cluster saying car is raising.and it should go away within 60 seconds but not more than 90 seconds. anymore than that and you could have an issue. just sit in the car with your foot out the door and on the ground and youll feel the car raise up. it does it rather slowly so it takes some time, its not instant.

also check under the hood in the water drain under the windshield look down in it to make sure its clear of debris. passenger side. they clog and water runs into the car and screws up everything
