The Greatest S-Class

RE: The Greatest S-Class
I think it's of what the average American is use to. To me, the floor gated shifter in the Mercedes is far easier than the column shifter in the F-150, the Cadillac Fleetwood (roundbody), the Lincoln, the Expedition, and I can go on and on. But that's just me. Funny how things switch around. At one point a Cadillac or Lincoln with a floor shifter (And SUV for that matter) was unheard of, while a Mercedes with a column shifter was not Mercedes like. Now most Cadillacs besides the Devilles (DTS or what ever they call it now) and some Lincolns have floor munted shifters. And now the Mercedes is going Column shifter. I'm sure Mercedes will do a good job at it.
The 2007 S-Class looks good in pics, but I been seening alot of them here Germany on the road (some of then dirty as if it been owned for years) and to me the wheel flares look oversized. But I like the rear. Kinda look like the Maybach. (Uh oh, how will the next Maybach look?)
S600 mean V-12 which mean cha-ching to a mechanic.

It cost around $8k to replace an S-600's shocks on all four corners. That is just one reason why they are priced at about the same as a new Toyota or even less than the same year/mileage S-500. Of course, if you can not drive an M1 Abrams tank on the highway, then an S-600 will do! Big, fast and just plain awesome!
