Should I buy a transmission from a junk-yard and put it in my 1990 560 SEL or rebuild it? It's gone completely out.

Has anyone done this?

Does ANYONE still have a 560 SEL???? If so, what have you done with your transmission??

Rebuilt trans with converter is about $5,000 from the dealer, there are some from other sources for about half the price. A company called Adsit advertises a lot but there have been issues with some stuff they sell. A good trans from a junkjard could be a find or another problem.
I would do some research and come to a descision, a good local rebuilder,who specializes would be great especially if the rebuild did not come out to your satisfaction.
