Exchanging airmatic compressor
Hello all
I am going to exchange my airmatic compressor before its shot (7 years old nov)
From what i can see in WIS i need to depressurize airmatic components (struts, valve unit, central reservoir)
Also i read in the WIS that the struts shall not be under load when i refill them to 5 bar after new compressor is mounted.
I dont have access to that kind of four-arm lift wich the pros use.
Does anyone know a good method to support my vehicle from under so that struts are not under tension when i depressurize ?
I was thinking to make som kind of wood-brickets to suite the four rubber mounts by lifting the car to high level, then lower it onto them.
Has anyone experience with exhanging the compressor with the help of using STAR ?
Is it correct that5 bar is the correct pressure to refill before loading the struts again?
Rgds
