Default dim headlights

2005 s 430, the headlights are dim or I am getting older (probably both). Replaced a bulb about a year ago and did not make much difference.
Been reading about these new HID kits, xenon/ filament, non filament etc.
whats the best / easiest way to increase illumination. don't want to buy some kit that may mess up the electronics . plan to keep the car forever so need to be able to see at night.

Thanks,

mello

first make sure your bulb is intalled correctly, if the bulb isnt in correctly it wont shine in the proper direction, and also make sure the headlight inside which holds the bulb is not broken and loose, make sure the headlight itself is aimed correctly before you go spend a ton of money for brighter lights. you could also need your headlights polished.
