Default deal or no deal?

i found a 1984 280SE Euro Spec for sale. 2.8 inline six, 4 speed manual, cloth seats, crank windows, no power anything on a short wheelbase W-126. It seems to me that this is an extremely rare find in the United states. Does anyone agree to that? furthermore, is $2000 a good price for this vehicle?

Well it was made and imported during the height of the "grey market" short era. And that sound like the very base model of that car in Europe. It is some what rare as being a grey market. And even more rare on the other end of the spectrum as being a Benz that is totally base model (even with the maual tranny especially. Very hard to find.)

And for $2000. How do it run? And what would need to be fix, if anything?
