Dashboard lights in my S500 keep flickering, please help!!
the problem started when I did not drive my car for 2 weeks, it did not start, I took to the dealer, they replaced the battery and did a complete diagnostic, they did not find any problem besides the dead battery.
eversince, the dashboard lights started flickering in and out, I took to the dealer again, they replaced the cluster, BUT the problem still there.
Any help???

Sleepwalker: assuming w220, Rheostat is part of the cluster. Likewise the ambient light sensor.
Jangalaoo: When you say flicker are you referring to the "blue/white" backlighting to the speedo markings etc or something different?
Can we be sure they fitted a new pack? Same mileage on odometer?
It has been reported many times on this site that USA dealers can't set the mileage correct when changing a cluster. I know this not to be correct so long as a NEW pack is used but...
Ask dealer for the Star Diagnostic report (hard copy) stating no codes set.
I think Sleepwalker has hit it on the button. Dealer trouble!
Why would they change the cluster (expensive) unless the car is still under MB or somebody else's warranty. Who paid for it?
Backlighting problems are well known on this instrument cluster installation.
