Custom interior
Do anyone have any contact information about shops that either sell or do custom wood grain (real wood) interior work? I'm looking for something like the brulwood that's on the lower part of the doors in this Mercedes.

RE: Custom interior
They don't have anything for the W126 that I'm looking for, beside them synthetic little 2 inch universal strips that probably look good in a Camry or Neon but totally out of place in a Mercedes.

you're looking at a very special garnish moulding.
it can be mapple, oak, burlwood, redwood, wallnut or buckeye.
i remember that real wood can be ordered from the factory before, but i am not so sure now.

RE: Custom interior
well mbz560SEL as in local, assuming I was in the states, and the process I went through in the states, would put me in the middle of nowhere Missouri. St Louis is 2 hours away, no prob, In Missouri unless you're speaking Chevy, Dodge, or Ford, it's Alien. They do have a few Bimmer places though and there are alot more BMWs than Benzes. My friend had to wait three month for a radiator for his E-class because the shortage of Benz parts and stores in Missouri. There is one Benz dealership but they have nothing custom or nothing optional for the older benzes. Only the newer ones. I check and doubled check in all places in Missouri. And I know money talks, and I can careless what this piece cost. All I need to do is find it, have it ordered or made quickly and installed. And I know it exist because I've seen it on too many 560SELs (mostly in California as usual.) California gets all the good import stuff.
It's burlwood. The same kind that the 560SEL came with.
