i was driving from milwaukee to sheboygan in my 1994 420se. when the oil gauge started going all crazy. it would dive all the way down, red light on and then go up all the way and then level off at 2 bar, which isnt right at 3000rpm. i hope it isnt the oil pump, but i was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms, and what the remedy was. thanks in advance.</P>

My 300D did a similar thing ,, It was grit in the oil pump relief valve , a quick easy fix ........... once it was found .... !
