Courtesy Lamp
I have an S430 2004 and the interior courtesy lamps don't light that used to light out of the rear view mirror and the floors. The door handle lights work and under the rear seat works too.
The lights were very subtle and an amber color.
Does anyone know what this could be? Just recently had the car serviced too, but didn't bring it to mercedes because the Miami mercedes dealer is impossible to deal with for service.

RE: Courtesy Lamp
Strange that the lights have recently gone off.
Can you associate any event with them going off. e.g. Service, new battery etc.
Maybe the bulbs/LED's have blown but this is unlikely since there are two.
Maybe there is a fuse blown. I don't have the fuse diagram for your vehicle. Do other functions on the mirror work correctly? Doyou have an electrically controlled mirror? Does the auto dim function still work at night?
Maybe they have been switched off in software.
Have you checked the Menu on the steering column "customer options" selector. i.e. how long the headlamps etc stay on.
Most likely cause is a blown fuse.
