Cooling fans coming on when car is off :S

Default Cooling fans coming on when car is off :S

Hello everyone, i have a somewhat weird problem,, my car was sitting in the garage, it has been there for over 24 hours, and the cooling fans just came on and started running,,, For now i pulled the fuse.. but i have to figure out what the problem with this is :S

any help is appreciated. Thank you.

ps. its a 99 S500 (140)

probably ur a/c control unit went crazy (inside in the dashboard)

its not the blower motor for the vents,, its the fans in front of the radiator that come on..

they do turn off after a while,,, :S pretty weird

Sounds as if the fan relay is stuck/sticking. Should be in the front fusebox on the driver side. May have to unscrew panel to access though. Can maybe find a pic if you want it.

i understood that ur cooling fan is running not the blower motor. but the cooling fan relay's gets power via the ECU and the a/c control unit. i suppose it's not the ECU. the a/c unit goes bad plenty of times and then can give out power to the relay. but 1st of all,change the relay. maybe it just stuck together.
u can also unplug the wires at the temperature sensor and see there's resistance in both wires or not. if u could measure some on both wire then u need the a/c unit. when u unplug the temp. sensor then the fan starts to run. that's the way it suppose to be. the broken wire does the same thing.

where exacty is the relay? i found the fuse,, but not the relay
