Default Consumer Battery Charging

Does anyone know the correct procedure for connecting a trickle charger to the consumer battery in an '07 S550?

Can it be connected from under the hood in the vicinity of the starting battery?

If so, does it also charge the starting battery?

If not, how do you access the consumer battery (I think it is under the rear seat)?

All help appreciated

To my point, charge the consumer battry can be done on the starter battery directly. Connect the charger to the starter battey, and the consumer battery and the starter battery can be charged.

NOTICE:
connect the charger's positive clamp to the connection point on the profuse box(beside the starter battery), and the charger's negative clamp to the starter battery's negative connection point.
You'd better to read the owner's manual before you do it.

by the way, the consumer battery is behind the right rear side.

BECAREFUL WITH THOSE CARS!!! That car has a dual system battery. One under the hood, and one right behind the rear seat. I went to that new S-Class technical training, and I know that you can hook up the battery charger under the hood. Exactly what are you doing with the car coz with an 07 car...it should be under M-BENZ warranty.

take care,
