Change interior dash bulbs help (Mercedes 1996 S320)
Hi there,
I have a Mercedes S320 limo 1996 (N reg) and am looking to change the interior light bulbs as many of them have stopped working.
Please can someone advise me on how to do this and direct me to any guides out there that may be available.
Thanks,
Vishal

pretty simple to do. There is about two ways of going about it. One, is getting the proper tool and pullingthe guage cluster. Dont worry, it should just pop right out now screws to worry about. The other way is making your own, simpliar to thin radio puller but with make-shift tool you run the risk of damaging the surrounding material. Now, once you have the dash guage out, you and if iirc at least on the pre-1995 ones, you just pull the individual bulbs and replace. Pop the guage back in and be done. Five minute job. Or you can pick up the bulb and take it to a euro shop that have the tool and they should be done with it in 5-10 mins. Real simple job te hardest part is dealing with a ham fisted person that messes up the surrounding trim.

Depends which bilbs you want to replace.
The one for the seat panel controls in the doors you pull out the panel from the rear with a hook (or proper tool), but any hook will do.
For lights in the centre console, you need to pop the lock for the two glove compartments (again tool required or 2mm diam stiff wire) set key at 45 deg anti-clockwise from vertical poke wire down hole in lock barrel, lock should pop out with key in it, then the upper central glove box is held in with two screws. Remove these, remove glove box interior, you should now have access to the light bulbs. Refit glove box and lock.
