Default Which brake pads should we use???? (2001 S 500)

About two weeks about we bought this gorgeous 2001 S-500 and found out today that its time to change the brake pads. After looking at the different brake pads that they have to offer we can't decide which brake pads would be the best to use. Is ceramic the way to go, or semi metallic? I saw some Bendix TitaniuMetallic pads, those sound really good but the TitaniuMetallic coating wears off after 50 stops.... Which brake pads do you guys use? What do you recommend? What does Mercedes-Benz recommend? Which are the best? Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Steph

Just had the brakes changed on wife's 2003 S430. Initially, we had semi metallic, BAD MISTAKE! Squeal at evey stop. Couldn't take it anymore, so I had the ceramic brakes put on. Ah, no more squealing.

Thanks, we got the brakes done. We used Bosch Quietcast pads. They're ceramic. They stop really well after you break them in and no sound at all.

Yeah, I know about autohausaz.com but the shipping for overnight was really expensive, so I went with Amazon.com. Autohausaz.com has really decent prices, I agree. Found the Bosch pads for a decent price on Amazon though.
