2000 S500L SRS light on constantly after battery went dead for 5 months. Dealer said "The airbag control module is interlocked and parameterization is not possible". Is there any way to unlock the N2/7 Control Unit? Dealer wants $1135 for a new CU. William

 

Did you have any success with this? I have a 2002 SL55AMG that has the same problem (dead battery and SRS warning light on afterwards). Have been told STAR is reporting a B1000 fault and control unit needs replacing (a $NZ3300 part).

I am interesting in trying myairbags.com to see if they can reset it. Has anyone had experience with these guys? They have pretty good feedback on eBay.
