Antilock light on '87 420 SEL
My Antilock light comes on from time to time on the dash when the car is cold. Usually about 1-2 minutes after I start driving. If I turn the car off and back on, the light stays off. It has never come on after the car is hot. I'm hoping there is an inexpensive solution to this - perhaps a relay? Has anyone experienced this?

There are 2 ways to have the codes read.
1. Go to a local auto store, by an OBD-I code reader, and find the plug-in to read the code with. Some stores actually will read codes for free, like Auto Zone.
2. Go to the dealership or another shop, and have them read - it usually is at least a $50 diagnostic charge.
If you feel mechanically inclined, go for the first choice.

Well, my 1987 420SEL doesn't have an OBD1 test socket, and it has the Antilock light ON recently when the gear shift is in the D.
Rick's OBD1 Reader only covers 1988 and up - I am out of luck here.
Anyways, I am wondering what had you found out (even though it was so many years ago).
