Default Alignment

As I mention earlier, I had a tie rod replaced and various other small things replaced. Now the mechanic says when he replace the tie rod, he must give the car an alignment. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but the problem is that the alignment was pin point perfect before the work (as the left and center tie rod is basically brand new (the center can pass off as an unused one if I put it in bubble wrap.) and I believe an alignment was done then a US MBZ dealership.). I'm not sure if this guy is a MBZ specialist or not, but this is Germany, and I might regret letting him go ahead and do an alignment with the right tie rod replacement. Is it really necessary to do a whole new alignment with a tie rod replacement? In a way it make since, since somehow the car maintained perfect alignment at all speeds with a bent right tie rod (now just replaced.). How can a car not change in alignment, feel, or no vibrations with a bent tie rod? I didn't even know I had a bent tie rod, until it was closely looked at.

Open questions. Anyone is welcomed to answer.

If it tracks straight don't worry about it.
