Default Aftermarket sound system

I recently upgraded my stereo and added some aftermarket subs in the trunk. The problem is that the low frequencies are not entering the cabin because there is no opening into the trunk to vent the air. How can I create a vent? Itried removing the rear seats to see if there was something that I could do but there is a metal divider that covers everything. Could I go in on the rear dash or through the rear armrest?

what year is this vehicle?
I have subwoofers in the trunk and no self made vents or etc and the lows still get through nicely. Then again, the trunk is pretty huge in my car so plenty of air to move around. A metal divider might mean that the gas tank is back there and of course you should be careful with where you screw things back there. Amp screw into the metal divider into the tank and BOOM!.

And out of curiosity, what size and power do you have?

you have to makesome openings in top of trunk, it is beter to make a bandpass subwoofer and put reflex inthis opening direct in the cabin but you dont tuning the sub too much low there will be a problem because the sub will not be too much loud

Just get a ported box. Your subwoofer must be in a sealed box. This past weekend I installed a 10" subwoofer in the trunk. Bass was to much, but after some tweaking with the amp it improved a little until I switched my box.Now it sounds good. My next step is to upgrade my door speakers. That usually does the trick also.
