Default AC Evaporator Leaking

1995 s500 4 door leaky evaporator. I heard this is a monster to change and Mercedes charge almost 2000 dollars to do. Does anyone know where ant DIY pages are. Any help would be appreciated. I do not know how big the hole is but whn I was getting it charged it lasted no longer than a night.

Default RE: AC Evaporator Leaking

Unless you are really good dont think about it. The whole dash comes out, the new evap is smaller you need a block off plate since the evap is smaller. My local dealer has only a few of their guys do it since it is involved. The changed other things while in there 14 hrs labor.
