ABS/ESP/BAS/brake lights on always. Any hints?
on my 01 S500,my cruise control does not function obviously. Related to the ABS amber light on and two messages BAS/ESP on the message board. My brake lights are staying on constantly. I commute 200 miles a day like this. NOTE: i replaced the brake light switch on the brake pedal (did not do it).I also replaced all the brake pads, and cleaned the ABS sensors on the rotors. PLEASE ADVICE!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.

I changed the brake pads, and rotors along with the front wheel bearings and seals on my 01 S500. After i finished the ESP light would come on when i would hit 5mph and it would not let me go any faster. I hit the ESP switch on the dash, and then ABS, AIR MATIC, and BAS warning lights all came on...WHAT HAPPENED!? i dont know what i did in the first place, or even go about fixing it. Maybe resetting the ECU?

I have the same problem (2000 E320). BAS/ESP lights will come on randomly when I'm using the brake pedel. Sometimes the ABS light also comes on. It's weird because it doesn't happen everyday, and I can't see any difference in performance what so ever. I replaced all the tires today after I noticed they were worn and one front tire was worn unevenly causing an anoying vibration at 50 MPH+. I haven't had the lights come on yet since. But it's only been 24 hours. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Same problem
Nice to see that someone answered with a diagnostic or answer to help. Did I miss it? I didn't change my brake pads and damged rotors a little. Had a non MB mechanic replace rotors and pads but the ABS lights stay on is there a way to reset it or any helpful hints on what the problem maybe. I'm wondering if and when the light comes on the MB dealership are the only ones who know how to get rid of it? I don't believe anyting is wrong with the sensors it came on to notify me and were supposed to reset it. Thank you
