Thanks,
Sorry, I took the reading with ignition on and the car was not running. When running, the bar is 11 to 12.

i see.

other's values seems fine. the only thing which i suspect...pressure and evap sensor which might be sending the wrong signal was already replaced!

another thing... there is a speed sensor on the compressor on which if it detects a slip on the belt, it will dis-engage. ???but the compressor too was replaced already . don't you think something is interrupting this speed signal?

only the signals which remains to be checked now. if you can find similar pushbutton control unit as yours... you can try it to eliminate the possibility that it was your ac control unit indeed.

I have a 95 S320 and my AC compressor just died on me. I was going through the internet and saw some rebuilt compressors for sale with 12 month guarantees.

My question is that do the different year models of the S320 have different compressors? Do all of them come with a speed sensor? The one being offered to me has a speed sensor and they claim that it should work on my S320.

Can anyone give me some information on this.

Thanks.

yours could have.

newer ones don't have speed sensor since the pulley disengage if the compressor gets stuck.

If mine does not have the sensor, can I still use the compressor with the speed sensor? Will it work with my s320?

I will list down my VIN number in case it helps: vin WDB1400331A244632 engine number: 10499412038737E9

All I know is that the compressor is a 6 groove 10PA20C.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks.

yours got no speed sending unit

the VIN really helps.

you can use any of these part numbers:

A 000 230 70 11
A 000 230 20 11

Sorry for another question. The company selling the compressor told me that even if I get the one with the speed switch, it will still work with my S320. He claims that I don't need to plug the speed sensor if my car does not have a provision for it. It will still work. Is this true?

Thanks.

true.

but the compressor with the speed sender is longer and got more moving parts which is a disadvantage.

for as long as the mounting bracket fits, then you can use it.

Thanks, Sleepwalker!

I noticed you're from the Philippines. I am too. The prices of parts locally are horrendous! It comes out much cheaper to buy them abroad and have them shipped to Manila.

Salamat!
