Default 93 300 SE, Correct Operating Temperature

My 93 300 SE 6-cylinder, 135k has always operated within a few degrees right at 80 C.
The temperature remained constant even with AC or pulling a boat.
Recently it began running between 85 and up to 90C.

The local shop did a pressure test on the system, flushed the coolant system and repaced anti freeze and for some unexplanied reason put an anti leaking agent (Stop Leak).

The operating temperature remained the same. Their explaination was that it is normal for the car to run at this temperature.

I have 2 questions:

1. What is th enormal operating temperature of a health engine?

2. Does anyone have a shop or mechanic, (Palm Beach Gardens, FL ) area they would reccommend?

Thanks

Mark

Default RE: 93 300 SE, Correct Operating Temperature

don't worry normal operating temp is anywhere as long as its not in the red i know it sound kinda scary. something to check is in the fuse box on the left side of the car there is 6 screws that hold in the cover that covers the whole fuse box remove these 6 screws and there is a green and blue relay in there i want you to check the fuses on the top of these relays there is usually a fuse blown on the blue relay(low speed auxiliary fan relay) i want you to put a 20 amp fuse in it. they always blow.

p.s. i have only seen 1 freeze plug leak in 15 years of being a Mercedes Benz mechanic
