Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum, but have been a long time MB enthusiast. I am in the process of acquiring my first MB. I had passed on an oppurtunity to buy a 99 S500 with 59K[sm=smiley7.gif]. I am now looking at a 87 S420 with about 100K on the odometer. Asking price is 3800 and is in very clean condition. My question is in regards to things to look for. I am buying this from a guy I know who is has MB/BMW/AUIDI/Porche repair shop.

At about 100K on the odometer, what services are due or will be due? I was thinking about the usual suspects, tuneup and shocks. Are these a must do things around this age? Any other things I should check/look/ask for?
