Hello all. I hope I'm posting in the correct place. I would love to have a 1970-1973 280se as a daily driver, however, the local independent Mercedes mechanic (German Auto in Phoenix, AZ) has advised that if I purchased one, they would be seeing me quite a bit. I realize its an old car, but the best cars I have ever owned have been late 60's, early 70's Mercedes. (69 230 & 67 230) I'm not at all mechanically inclined, so any work will have to be done at the shop. Should I continue my search for one of those beauties (its an emotional thing!) or should I be somewhat practical and go with a newer E class? Thanks, in advance, for any advice...
