I just got this 2000 S430 and have a few issues that I will post seperately:

My cd changer DOES NOT WORK!!! I have made sure all the cd's are in correctly, seated as they should be and are good cds, but after it goes through its boot sequence, it reports back to console "MAGAZINE IS EMPTY".

Any suggestions on how to fix ??? I am pretty handy and have done enough electrical & mechanics to do just about anything, within reason

 

I had the same issue, i disconnected the battery for a few minutes and it seemed to reset the system and has been working fine since then.

Ensure that you insert a genuine CD as any copied music that hasn't been copied in the correct format may not e recognised by the system.

 

These are all legal copies of cds (not copied) and I also tried the reset, didn't work either
