I'm looking at getting a 93 400SEL with very low miles (24K). What are the problem areas of this car?

I have a couple of questions. I have a 93 400sel. Now sometimes when I run the car its fine, nice and smooth. yesterday I went to work and the car was slugglish. when I tried to accelerate the car would glug glug glug. just did really want to go. this is an engine problem of some sort I assume. I was thinking the plug cables might be bad. I wanted to ask before I spend 203$ at autozone to replace the cables.. anyone else face this problem? In the afternoon, I started it up and it was fine all the way home. now today its doing it again it sounds like a mis fire. since you all have been with this model longer then me, sound familiar?

second. anyone ever face the problem with the air vacum? the pump under the the rear right seat. I cant get anything to work off that pump. central locking doesnt work, reverse assist. the fuse in the trunk is good and I checked all the fuses in front as well. Im lost of what to do. and it costs 800$ to replace. any input????

Hello again, I have a question which I have not found in the forum. How does the Heater work in the 1993 400SEL? w140 body. When I start the car I cant get any hot air at all. some jack wants to charge me 95$ per hour and min of 5 hours to tell me why. thats highway robbery. I rather ask here and hopefully I can find the problem. I dont to fix it but I want to know first how it functions before I send it off. so If I need parts I can get them ahead of time. I dont like surprises.
