I have a 2012 S550 AWD and was hoping to install trailer hitch & wiring.

Mercedes cannot do it, can this actually be done?

I need to trail from time to time my son's boat, which is in a 6x12 trailer box.

I am based in NJ

I would not risk it. The S550 is not designed to tow. But if you are persistent, I know there are hitch dealers that offer custom-built hitches like uhaul. Try to contact them.

 

I've got one on my 08 S550. Actually thinking of removing it. Let me know if you're interested.

 

I removed the hitch from my 2008 S550 4MATIC. It's in good shape, looking to get rid of it. It didn't have any wiring, I'm assuming it was just for a bike rack or something like that.
