2008 S-Class review
Mercedes will launch the 2008 S-Class at NAIAS, Detroit, in 2007. The new ~$80K cabriolet will be built mainly following comfort, rather than performance.
You can read an exclusive review on it on topspeed, with info about the features, mercedes' plans, as well as some of the S-Class history and the competition the 2008 model will have to face. Available is also a high-res photo gallery.
"...While preserving the sizes, seating capabilities and easy four-door access of the S-Class saloon, the new open vehicle will offer the pleasure of open-air cruising by featuring the biggest soft-top yet to be produced..."

RE: 2008 S-Class review
Wouldn't it have been just as good and sleeker looking if it was the CL convertible instead? I guess soon every Mercedes, four, two or three door Mercedes will have a convertible option. The 300C conv. don't look so bad surprisingly, with the top down. But with the top up, that S-class lines look odd. But I'm sure people will buy it because no one else have a converible with the room of a large four door sedan. It's a good idea, but the top up lines seem a little strange. I think they will work it out.
