After two weeks of searching I finally found out that the Comand system for the 02 S430 is a Bosch/Blaupunkt atrocity, fiber optic controlled with the Model MC3010 CD Changer.The 3 wire connector that plugs into the cd changer was damaged when a local body shop removed the system to repair some body damage and basically destroyed the JR connector. They tried to jury rig it,cut the wires,and tried to hold the connector in place with glue.
After several aborted trys,I refused to let them do any more damage,and went on a search to try and get the correct connector,the pin and wireing diagrams. MB has been absolutely worthless and I need some help finding out the correct pin assignments,ie.which wires go where.Bosch /Blaupunkt has been no help,and MB is a joke when it comes to support on these particular
S430 Comand Systems. This Forum is my last resort before tearing the whole thing out and looking for a replacement system.
I love this Benz,but I would really think twice before buying another one.
Dont they look for repeat sales???????
