Default 2000 S430 Suspension Too Low

I had this issue 2 years ago and the stealership charged me 600+ to have the struts sealed (or something). It's been fine ever since...until yesterday. Started driving down the road and within 30 sec I got the Red Warning Suspension Too Low. Stopped the car and sure enough it was sitting almost on the wheels. I pushed the button on the dash to raise the car hoping this would triger the pump to bring it bac and sure enough within a minute it was back to normal. Now, it has been quite cold the past several days - is it possible this could be creating this issue? The car sat in my garage overnight last night and when i came out this morning it was sitting at normal levels still, but the moment i started it up and backed out of the garage it went low again. I let it sit - engine running without pushing the button this time - and it went back to normal levels.

Could it be the same issue again? I thought the fix was a one time deal and couldn't be done again, but the pumps and everything appear to be working fine. Could it be a leak resulting from the cold? Should I expect it to resolve itself? Can the kit be used again?

Any insight from the group would be appreciated.

i had a similar problem with mine.
i had a leak a couple years ago and i had a mercedes specialist fix it (it was like 200-300$ i think) but then last month the left side went down again and it would not raise again.
when i took it to the guy he said that its not the seal and i had to have the whole strut replaced which is like $1200+ at the dealer.

i found a place online that rebuilds them and ended up getting one for $400 which is working pretty good now.

anyways i hope your problem is not just as bad as mine was

Default Airmatic Issue

Well, happened again and I caved in and went straight to the stealership. Turns out I needed a new pump...2 hrs and $800 later its good as new. Such a scam....they say $400 for labor but it took them all but 45 min to put it in. A-holes....I will nvr by another benz again.

I considered it abnormally normal for the WDB220 body, the airmatic suspension in that model is the worst in the industry.
