Ok I have seen on another MB forum about this and wanted to know if any of you had any luck have the rust issue fixed thru MB for FREE

 

when we bought our 2000 s430 in feb 06, my step brother noticed rust under the car, and in some places around the car, as in the gas cover etc.

it was right after we bought it, but the mb dealership took it and replaced all parts that were rusted. took them about 2 weeks though

 

I have called MB in Los Angelesand they told me that rust warranty only for a 4 years and they won't fix it since my car s430/2000. I am not sure if I got the right information.

 

I was told no also because of the year and out of date warr. ,But he also said the sometimes do it out of GOODWILL , depending on Mileage ## of owners , But I am looking into other angles , the is a campaign I am looking for for the lower door molding which prevented water from escaping (HENSE RUST) , I will keep you posted
