Smile 1995 S280 Fuse Box No Supply

Hi. My door locks were sticking recently and then they stopped working. At about the same time I could smell melting rubber. So I pulled the fuse that controls the door locks (located in the trunk). The fuse had not blown. I checked supplly and there was no longer power coming through to that fuse. I checked the back of the fuse holder and the main 12V feed into that line of fuses (fuses 1,2,3 and 4) was dead. So I then checked all the fuses in the fuse box in the trunk, and also the set of fuses under the bonnet). All fuses were OK. Are there any other fuses located somewhere else in this model? I guess I now need to find the spot where the rubber melted but dont know where to start. Can anyone tell me what path the 12Volt supply line takes on its journey from the ignition to the rear fuse box please? Thanks.

Smile Tidied the supply line, still no supply to vacuum pump.

OK so I tidied the supply to that line of fuses and they are getting 12V (I replaced the main connector lug - not sure why it failed, probably old age). The main feed to the central locking system is OK at the fuse box in the trunk (Fuse#2 and 3). Fuse #3 feeds the cig lighter as well as the closing system aid. Neither the door lock pump(the vacuum system in the trunk), nor the lighter have 12V supplied to them.

I therefore conclude that the line between the fuse box and the vacuum pump (and the cig lighter) has been cut somewhere. Anyone tell me where it travels from the fuse box in the trunk to the front part of the car? I am happy to start uncovering cables but do not know which side of the car to uncover first. Thanks.

Default

The vacuum pump supply line goes from the pump goes under the rear seat door sill to the front seat door sill and then under the front seat to the centre console. I havent taken the console out yet but I assume it will then travel to a relay that is and on to the fuse. I will trace the line and hope to find the disconnect.
