1994 S320 Heat Issue
HI, everyone. I have a problem with my heat. It doesnt blow any air no matter what setting it is on. I changed the blower regulator last time this happened about 6 months ago and am hoping its not the regulator again. I had an old E-class that had a in line fuse under the hood. I was wondering if anyone knows if these cars have a fuse like that for the heat. Also, if anyone knows what else the problem would be or where i should start looking i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Danny

No actually I am talking about a 1994 S 320. I was just stating that I used to have a E class with the same problem and was wondering if these 94 S320's have a fuse of some sort that would kill power to the blower motor. Or if anyone knows what the prolem could be. Thanks

please indicate how high is high in degrees normal working heat is around 90 to 105 degrees, and yes there is a fuse for the auxiliary fan, located on the fuse compartment located on the left side engine compartment beside the brake booster/brake fluid reservoir. check also the water line for leak.

My problem is not the temperature of the heat, it is the fact that it doesnt blow any air whatsoever. I dont believe the blower motor is getting power and was wondering if there was a fuse or something electronic that controls it besides the blower regulator mounted near it. As far as the temperature the car needle for water temp operates in the middle maybe a little higher sometimes. Does anyone know the wiring for the heat or have a schematic I could look at. Thanks for the help.

Let me ask you to consider something very simple. If and when you changed your regulator (if youdid), did you also change the cabin filter. It may have stopped due to restricted airflow. The cheapest route would be to change the filter.

The 140 regulator is in the ground side, I dont know why, it also gets a signal from the re-cirulate switch. I would check the ground straps, the 140 also had issues with the motor bearings, get under the cover spin the motor and lube the bearing with ATF. if it does not spin there is your answer.

Peter,
What ground straps are you speaking of, and what do they look like, and how do I find them? And what bearings are you speaking of? I'll go ahead and lubricate them anyways, so as to head-off any potentialities.
