Are you actually planning to insure it????? I think that will be your biggest cost to start off with unless you have a few years no claims discounts. Insuring a 6L V12 able to go 0-60 in what 7.5 seconds is going to cost big money at your age! Probably more for the first year than the car is worth!

As for costs...yes it will be very expensive to run/service, parts will be a lot, and it is getting old.....I would be willing to bet the air-con doesn't work anymore, or will need new gas (assuming it doesn't leak, in which case its about $3000 to fix!). I would also be willing to bet the engine mounts will need to be replaced soon, and the steering box changed, given the heavy engine and its age, as I bet it leaks oil like the car will drink petrol if you floor it. Expect to pay about $2000 to service every 10k miles, as it will need lots of work each time given its age. If the seals around the auto box have not been repleaced in the last 5 years, the wiring loom will be in bad shape, and that will cost $$$$$ to fix.

90K Km is not a big distance for a car that is 15 years old....sounds like its either not been used much or has just done lots of short distances....not good.

If you are desperate for an older S-Class in that shape, with LWB, you are (at your age) far better off getting a much much newer S320L, as the insurance and running costs will be a lot less, and if you are really vain, then get an S600 and V12 badge to stick on it. Also the ones made after 1996/1997 have better gearboxes, higher interior specs, and more safety features, and the leather inside will be in much better condition.

How much are you thinking of paying. Here in the UK you can pick up a 2000-2001 S320(L) for about £6k if you haggle, depending on the miles.....especially in the current economic environment. Remember, because of steep deprecation, large engine cars are not worth a lot these days on the used market. A merc that cost 100k 10 years ago, can be bought for about £6-10k now......

Also remember, a 15 year old S600 will be a bottomless money pit to run.........hope you or your parents have very big wallets!

Thank You Soooo Muchhh jrhilton for taking your time , i realy appreciate

For the insurance i only pay 869$ per year and a s600 here will cost about 12.000$ CDN or a S500 for about 8000-10000$ CDN but with over 100 000 KM'S

Im not desperate for an old S-Class lol , its because i realy love these models (1992-1999)

So i think the best way is to wait a bit before getting a mercedes...

Thanks again for your helpjrhilton !!

Have a great day !!
