i recently purchase a 1990 300SE - amazing car - the radio said please wait. The owner told me he just put a new battery in and that is what happened.

I called Benz to get the code - which i got. I cant get the car to move past Please wait - to actually be able to enter the code.

I have left the car ignition on for about 4 hours.. still nothing. Can anyone give any pointers on how to move past PLEASE WAIT?
