1990 300SEL Starting Problems
Please help!
The car has been starting with hesitation the past couple days usually including a few minutes of just trying to start it it'll finally start and idle funny for a minute or two then do fine and run fine and everything. Once it's been started it'll usually start fine if done so within a couple hours of a previous drive. This morning, however, after just sitting overnight the car will not start. It tries, but it just will not start at all.
I have no idea where to begin!

idle control valve and or cold start valve is not working properly. My car had exact same symptoms found it to be that the idle control box was dead and not sending electrical impulses at all. I havent replaced it, and will very soon, but the only other thing it could be is the actual ECU not telling the Idle control box what to do and thus the car is always in default hot start mode, which can be a pain when it shoulkd be in cold start mode.
