Hi people! I just found this forum, it seems very informative.

I am considering buying a 1982 500SEC, but I recently saw a 1988 300CE for sale at the same price.

So, in your opnion, how can you compare both in terms of: Performance, Handling, Safety and Luxury (i mean standard equipments, that kind of stuff...)

I just can't go and do a fully inspection or test drive at the moment, because they are not in my city, so I need opinions first.

I don't mind which one has better gas mileage, running costs, etc...
