I have a s430 and the radio will cut out every 3 or 4 mins for about 10 seconds. No sound and I can't change the station while it's in the freeze mode..?????? This has been happening for the last week. Any Ideas?

Check and see if you have activated the Traffic program setting.(TP) It might help??

Otherwise, your dealer may have a software update for your system. These updates are brought out to overcome little glitches that are found in the system.

 

Do you have the timeport phone in the car? Mine would do that when the battery was low because my cable stop charging the phone...replaced cable and now it never does it.

 

well after 2 days at the dealership it turned out to be the phone! The phone had a voice messege and that's the way it notifies you!
At least I got a loner car and no charge from the dealership.

 

I had a similar problem. It was caused by the phone in the car.
check the phone and see if you have messages. Delete them and it should solve your problem.
The cut off is the way the system reminds you thet you have messages on your phone.
