Which gas to use 91 octane or 87 octane

Which gas to use 91 octane or 87 octane

I understand that Mercedes recommends us to use 91 octane on the car. I was just wondering if anyone here used 87 or 89 when filling up.

I've used 87 for over two years on my SL... doesn't hurt anything.

Using 87 presently and no problems.
