Hello,

I'm considering buying a used ML500. One thing I need on this vehicle is a trailer hitch. The salesman at the local dealer told me that the tow package can not be installed by a dealer, or that if it didn't come from the factory with it, you can't have it. I find that hard to believe.

The other car I'm considering is the Porsche Cayenne S, and my local dealer would have no problem installing their tow package on a car that didn't come with it from the factory.

Does anyone know the truth about this? Has anyone here had a trailer hitch installed on a 2006-2007 ML?
