a diagnostic test on actual values yes it should be reading 16kg on idle, and that is a good air mass,if you dont have a diag test done you can test it ur self on stand still by giving a sudden full throttle if revs up ok with out any hesitition than the air mass is ok.....why do want to test it ???????????

Thanks for reply. I was told there was a voltage test. The mas kicks in fine at stand still, but has slow acceleration when kicked in at around 50mph+. Dangerous when passing. Also, check engine light is on. I replaced the mass about 9 mos ago and these problems went away. Now back again. I cleaned the new mass with mass cleaner from auto supply. It helped with smoother shifting, but not the other problems.

Try replacing the Crankshaft and Camshaft Sensors.. Mine ran rough and sputtered at 4000 RPM's until I replaced them.. Now it screams through 7000R's.

po170 po173 codes are typical maf codes, voltage at idle for a v-6 should be 1.4-1.7v at idle, mbz does not specify off idle readings.
