I am getting a few little (maybe 1" circles) or rust bubble spots all over my 02 ML with 94,000 miles. They do not appear to be due to stone chips or anything, but are appearing at random all over the car. Is there a rust warranty on the car (100,000 mile hopefully)? If not, is there any way to repair these spots? If I must get the car stripped and repainted, whats the best reasonably priced way to go about that (without getting a ****ty Macco job)?

I posted the same thing about my ML500 some time ago.
I brought it in to the dealer where I had purchased the truck. They said it was not a defect and they would split the repair cost with me. I thought that was BS, I have not contacted MB directly yet. I think you will find others with the same problem. Maybe we shouls all get together and send an email to MBUSA?

 

I work at the plant where the ML, R, and GL classes are made in Alabama, and I've been told that all of the vehicles carry 30 year no-rust warranties. Take it in to the dealer and talk to them about it.
