I have an Australian delivered ML320 W163. Build Date October 2000 which has the standard Audio 10 radio/cassette and read CD-stacker. Section below the radio is an open storage bin.

I have a friend who is soon returning to Australia from the USA.

I can ask him to source a COMMAND kit for me. However......

What I need to know is :-

a) Will a USA ML320 COMAND unit fit an Aussie ML320 ?

b) Is there an existing wiring harness for a Command unit already in the Aussie ML - albeit unused ?

c) Does the 'puter need to be re-programmed ?

d) anything else ??????


Please, I dread being told it can't be done......

Don't know much about this, but a friend of mine was able to fit an American (presumably, off eBay) Command Console into his American-delivered '99 ML320, which came with a cassette player, like yours. He deed need a wiring harness, which WAS available, and he did NOT need to re-programm anything. Hope this helps.
