How do you reset the little "service wrench" on the odometer display?? I've tried my ODB2 code reader without luck. I really don't want to take it to the dealership if possible.

Help! This is driving me NUTS!

The instructions to reset the service light are in the owners manual for my 1999 ML430.

turn key to position 2 (the one right before you start the engine)
press the reset button on the dash twice or until the service indicator comes up
press and hold that button and while youre holding it turn the key completely off then back to the position number 2, all the while holding down that button. it will reset
