ML350 Bluetec P2045 code
After taking our 2012 to the dealer multiple (over 4) times for an intermittent P2048 code - which the dealer finally proclaimed fixed by repairing a shorted wire, the vehicle started displaying a new code 2045 a week after getting it back. (Code 2048 is "Reductant Injector circuit low Bank 1 Unit 1" and code 2045 is "Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling Valve Control Circuit Open"
My question is if this new code is likely an unrelated error, or if the two could be connected - for example if wires to both are in the same wiring harness. I'm unclear as to why the dealer did not replace the wiring harness as opposed to simply "fixing the wire."
In my search, it does appear that the 2048 code can be caused by a broken wire so if you are getting that code, make sure your service provider checking the wiring - we ended up having lots of parts of the add blue system replaced in an effort to fix that code.
