Default electrical problems with windows /mirrors &rear air con controlls

Hi guys new to both Mercedes and the forum!

Can i ask for some help, please!

I have a 2004 ml350 w 163 all the electric windows and the mirrors have stopped working, none of the front or rear window switches have any effect at all no movement, the mirrors do not adjust nor fold in, also the rear air-con controls have malfunctioned at the same time the control panel red led no longer lights up, and the controls do not change the fan speed at all. all this happened after i changed a bulb in the rear light unit would you believe!.
So far i have checked the fuses and relays in both the engine compartment and drivers side footwell fuse boxes- all are sound no fuses are blown and substituting the relays made no difference.
I have also tried disconnecting the battery to see if the system would reset itself- no such luck!.

I am left thinking that something has blown in the center consul control switch panel where the window & mirror switches are located!
It is worth noting that the central locking button still works normally I am guessing that i should try a replacement switch panel?
if that fails I guess I am looking at a possible issue with one of the s.a.m modules or can-bus system any ideas on the likely culprit? and its location?
Any input or anyone with ideas based on their own experiences and what they did to solve the issue will be very gratefully received!
many thanks in advance
Steveras.
